Planning a large event at a Sarova Hotel might previously have
involved pouring over floor plans, looking at photographs, making phone
calls, and a considerable amount of work on the part of event
organisers. Monochrome's task was to incorporate all of this
information into a Macromedia Flash application that would allow them a
much clearer insight into what is involved in holding an event at a
Sarova Hotel, be it a product launch, business meeting, wedding or
other event.
The Result
The resulting Rich Internet application is a highly visual interface
that entices the user to explore the hotels, rooms and facilities on
offer. From one interface, the user can effortlessly switch between
different hotels, and different rooms within each hotel via the
isometric floor plan system. Once a room is clicked on, a detailed
floor plan allows an event organiser to plan an event in detail.
Hovering the mouse over different facilities will show their positions
in the room. Different room layouts can also be tried out.
Stunning photography of each room is shown, and a 360-degree tour
affords a better perspective of the room. A potential event organiser
has access to all of the information required in planning an event.
Also easily accessible in this interface is an enquiry form to allow
any queries a user has to be answered quickly and efficiently via email.

Sarova Hotels now have a system whereby those thinking of holding an
event at a Sarova Hotel can effortlessly view all of the available
hotels, meeting rooms and facilities. Interested event organisers can
simply fill out an online form with a few details about their events so
that any questions they may have will be quickly answered by email.
